It is in the heart of the Alps, in Haute-Savoie, that the Grand Massif slopes are revealed, between mythical spots, 40,000 hectares of forests, powder snow and grandiose views of the Arve Valley, the Aravis Massif, the Jura mountains up to Lake Geneva without forgetting the Mont-Blanc. Snow is guaranteed to make the most of the 139 trails and 62 lifts spread over 265 kilometers of trails that this area offers between 700 and 2,500 m altitude.

At the entrance, our interior designer will design the common areas, including porcelain stoneware tiling (to facilitate cleaning of areas used by bikes, skis, etc.) and decorative wall coverings. Wood or aluminum joinery, security glazing with videophone connected to each apartment (opening by code and badge, so you don’t have to take off your ski gloves, for example…).

Authentic mountain style with wooden interior doors, smooth painted walls in all rooms, wood cladding on one wall of the living room, full-height earthenware tiles on the shower/tub walls and vanity unit, 60×60 tiles in the living room and glued parquet flooring with solid wood veneer in the bedrooms. Closets with imitation-wood sliding doors including interior fittings, TV socket in living room and master bedroom.

Fully fitted and equipped kitchen, functional bathrooms with thermostatic taps, chrome mixer tap and hand shower, vanity unit and illuminated mirror, electric towel dryer, wall-hung WC with double expansion tank, humidity-sensitive single-flow ventilation. All apartments have a parking space, a cellar and a ski room equipped with boot warmers.

The heating system and hot water production will be connected to the Samoëns district heating network. Hydraulic underfloor heating is planned, and duplex apartments will be fitted with low-temperature radiators on the upper floors.

Attic apartments will be fitted with a metal flue for connection to a future wood-burning stove.

A MEANINGFUL NAME... AND A LOVELY ANECDOTE!

In an exchange with the plot’s previous owner, we learned that Jean-Alfred Mogenet, a writer and poet from Samoëns, was one of his forebears and had lived on the family farm we’re rehabilitating, where he found inspiration and wrote his verses!

One of his descendants, Rémi Mogenet, himself a literary man and poet, paid tribute to him in a book about his work. JAM’s poems, as he called himself, were written in the local dialect and expressed the events of his daily life, the peasant life of his time.

Listening to this beautiful story, drawn from the local heritage and the land of this parcel, we wanted a name that would recall his talent and thus praise this distinguished village poet.
